They don't assume a "rapture" or talk about how or why people disappear suddenly, or what they were doing at the time. They don't assume human bodies lying around either. It's still fascinating to follow along with their speculations.
They do show the effects of remaining (and rusting) vehicles from time to time. Some of the videos they made show stuff like empty roads, but I think that's just a result of how old it is and how much more expensive it would have been to animate stuff like millions of cars that weren't the topic of that segment.
