This is from last year. I didn't realize it would show up on people's feeds today, no matter what date I put on it!
How bad FB is depends a lot on your friends, but yeah. It's not designed to be kind, it's designed to generate clicks and provide an audience for the ads. I still value it, since it's possible to keep track of so many people that way, but I remain very aware both of its flaws and that the people making decisions about what we see does not have our interests at heart.
